Solution Architect — Enterprise Repository

You will join a multidisciplinary team building an Enterprise Repository that connects information across the bank to produce actionable insights. You will work with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Enterprise & Business Architects, Tech Leads and DevOps Engineers to translate business and regulatory requirements into practical architectural solutions that enable impact analysis, dependency management and scenario planning.

What you will do

• Translate requirements: Convert business and regulatory requirements into architectural designs and solution outlines (Project Start Architectures).
• Information modelling: Define information models, metadata structures, relationships and governance principles to ensure structured, connected and maintainable information.
• Repository selection & implementation: Contribute to requirements definition, vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, implementation, migration, integration and continuous improvement.
• Impact analysis & scenario planning: Design capabilities for impact assessments, dependency analysis and "what-if" scenario modelling.
• Architecture roadmaps & standards: Contribute to domain roadmaps, architecture principles and standards; provide guidance and governance throughout delivery lifecycles.
• Stakeholder support: Support teams in adopting repository standards and architectural principles; communicate designs and drive alignment and adoption.
• Mentoring: Mentor and coach delivery teams to support successful implementation and continuous improvement.

Architectural responsibilities

• Develop Project Start Architectures and solution outlines to provide clear architectural direction.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure and compliant solutions.
• Ensure compliance, security, risk and audit requirements are addressed through architectural governance.
• Provide architectural guidance and governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Repository selection & development

• Collaborate on defining business, functional, technical and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in market assessments, proof-of-concepts and solution evaluations.
• Support implementation, migration, integration and establishment of governance and operational processes for sustainable adoption.

Impact analysis & scenario planning

• Enable visibility into relationships between processes, applications, assets, controls, risks and assessments.
• Support impact assessments, dependency analysis and scenario modelling to inform transformation, risk and regulatory decisions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, optimize and improve the enterprise landscape.

Stakeholder collaboration

• Work closely with stakeholders across business and technology domains.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Area Lead, Tech Lead and fellow architects to balance business value, technical feasibility and operational needs.
• Communicate architectural principles, designs and roadmaps to stakeholders to drive alignment and improvement.

Competence & requirements

• Strong documentation skills and a structured, analytical mindset.
• Ability to connect big-picture vision to concrete, actionable steps and vice versa.
• Collaborative, energetic, and comfortable guiding teams in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Language: English and Dutch mandatory; fluent communication skills in English and confidence to provide clear direction.
