Communications Expert V

Position

You are a senior interim Communications Expert focused on internal communications and AI-driven engagement for the Brand Marketing and Communication Center of Expertise.

Assignment

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of internal communications and engagement strategy, combining strategic advisory and hands-on execution.

Key focus areas

• Executive Committee (ExCo) messaging
• CLA communications
• Senior Leads Summit — top 100 leadership event focused on AI & leadership
• All Staff Town Hall ING NL

Channels

Develop communication strategies, plans and content for internal channels such as ING Today, Viva Engage and Narrowcasting.

Profile

• Experience: Minimum 10 years as a senior communications professional
• Specialisation: Proven experience in internal/corporate communications
• Context: Experience in international, complex matrix organisations
• Skills: Strategic thinking & execution (hands-on), stakeholder management at senior level, project management, copywriting and content creation
• Attributes: Able to connect strategy, purpose and different domains; creative and solution-oriented; comfortable in a direct, non-hierarchical team
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and highly comfortable working in English

Must-have expertise

• Internal communications strategy & delivery
• Experience with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT)
• Familiarity with internal communication platforms

• Availability: No leave allowed leading up to key events
