Position

Title: Senior Informatica Platform Engineer – Customer Data
Location: Rabobank Utrecht

Role

You will design, build and run the Informatica IDMC platform that supports Customer 360, MDM, Salesforce integration, event streaming and analytical/ML workloads. You will own the Informatica IDMC platform and shared infrastructure/services used by Data Engineers, Data Scientists, DQ and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable customer data products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the customer data platform architecture (Informatica IDMC, Event Hub/Kafka, APIM/microservices, Databricks).
• Implement platform automation and Infrastructure as Code for consistent environment provisioning (dev/test/acc/prod).
• Ensure privacy-by-design and security-by-design (encryption, Key Vault policies, network isolation, RBAC/ABAC, secrets/identity management) and meet GDPR/PII requirements.
• Provide and operate shared platform services: schema registry, feature store infrastructure, metadata & lineage (Collibra), orchestrators, DQ runtimes, job scheduling/service bus.
• Embed SRE practices: define SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, implement observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana/Prometheus, Splunk), and drive incident response and RCA.
• Optimize performance, reliability and cost (cluster sizing & autoscaling, storage tiering, Event Hub throughput, API/streaming tuning, scheduling).
• Establish platform standards, guardrails, reusable IaC modules, runbooks and onboarding guides for Data Product teams.
• Collaborate with Architects to define a solid and sustainable data architecture for the Customer Data area.
• Train DevOps and platform engineers via knowledge sharing, workshops and trainings.

What you bring

• Minimum 7 years of experience in MDM (on Informatica).
• Senior knowledge and hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (design, development, administration, operations).
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms: Databricks, Event Hub/Kafka, Azure (IDMC strongly preferred).
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills and CI/CD exposure (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
• Solid grasp of networking and security (private endpoints, managed identities, encryption).
• Familiarity with customer data concepts: Customer 360/MDM, CRM integrations (Salesforce), consent & preference management, GDPR implications.
• Clear communicator, collaborative mindset, with a bias for reliability, automation and developer self-service.
• Nice to have: Collibra, Grafana/Prometheus, Splunk.

Languages

English mandatory. The candidate should have sufficient Dutch and English proficiency (spoken and written, B2 level).

You will be a backbone of the Customer Data area by providing secure, scalable and well-governed platform capabilities that accelerate product onboarding, control costs and ensure compliant, reliable customer data products across the organisation.

• All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID
  card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the
  assignment
