Senior Cloud Engineer (Data Engineering)

Are you a proactive team player with a passion for innovation? We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with data engineering experience to build and maintain the technology that ensures seamless transfer and reliable availability of asset sensor data.

What you will do

• Bridge the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) by developing and maintaining solutions for sensor data transfer.
• Design, build and maintain the data foundation that enables analysis and data-driven decisions about grid and asset management.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable data pipelines and integrations to support applications and business users.
• Lead and execute migrations to new technology stacks for multiple applications.
• Apply CI/CD, containerisation and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure robust, scalable deployments.

How you will work

• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary, agile environment and work according to SAFe principles.
• Translate complex data and technical challenges into valuable insights through clear communication and strong analytical skills.
• Share knowledge proactively and adopt a flexible, solution-oriented attitude when solving complex challenges.

Requirements

• Demonstrable work experience (at least three, preferably five years or more) in a data environment as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (5+ years).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure tooling.
• Experience with Python.
• Background in IT and/or Computer Science.

Preferences

• SQL.
• Knowledge of Matillion and Snowflake, or similar ETL tooling.
• Experience developing and managing ETL processes and integrating data in Snowflake.
• Comfortable collaborating with English-speaking colleagues.
• Experience working in a Scrum team and with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or DevOps practices.
